Welcome to Flinta. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Flinta website and application, including its content-sharing, direct messaging, voice notes, subscription, and monetisation features (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
18+ Platform. Flinta is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement. Misrepresentation of age results in immediate permanent termination.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Flinta. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction, and will comply with all applicable laws while using the Service.
2. Account Creation and Security
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate date-of-birth information for age verification purposes.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials — you are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@flinta.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
- Not share your account with any other person.
3. Content Sharing & Creator Rules
Creators may post photos, videos, written posts, and voice notes behind a subscription paywall or as individual pay-per-view content. By posting content to Flinta, you confirm that:
- You own or have the right to distribute all content you post.
- All individuals depicted in your content are aged 18 or older and have provided informed, documented consent to appear in and for the distribution of that content.
- Your content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or privacy right.
- You will not post content that depicts minors, non-consensual acts, real-world violence, or anything that violates applicable Zimbabwean or regional law.
Flinta reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms at any time without notice and without refund to subscribers for that content.
4. Direct Messaging, Voice Notes & Auto-Delete
The Service includes paid one-on-one direct messaging and voice note exchange. The following rules apply to all messaging on the platform:
- Messages and media you send are subject to the same content rules that apply to creator posts.
- You may enable auto-delete timers on messages and media. Once a timer expires or content is viewed, it is permanently removed from Flinta's servers and cannot be recovered.
- You acknowledge that you cannot prevent a recipient from making a screenshot or off-platform recording of your messages or media before the auto-delete timer runs. Flinta is not liable for such actions.
- Sending unsolicited explicit content in direct messages without a creator's prior indication that such content is welcomed is a violation of these Terms.
5. Subscriptions & Pay-Per-View
Flinta offers recurring monthly subscriptions to individual creators' content vaults, as well as single-unlock pay-per-view content. By purchasing a subscription or unlocking content:
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the creator's listed price until you cancel via your account settings.
- Pay-per-view unlocks are charged as one-time transactions and grant you access to that specific piece of content.
- All charges appear on your statement under a neutral, discreet descriptor.
- Refunds are not available for subscriptions already served or for content already unlocked and viewed, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
6. Paid Direct Messages
Creators may enable a paid messaging feature that charges subscribers per message sent, per voice note, or per media item shared in a direct conversation. Rates are set by the creator and displayed before you initiate a paid message. By sending a paid message, you authorise the stated charge. Paid message fees are non-refundable once a message has been delivered and read.
7. Creator Payouts
Creators earn a percentage of their subscription revenue, pay-per-view sales, and paid direct message income. Flinta's platform fee and creator payout split are displayed in your creator dashboard. Payouts are processed via regional payment providers including EcoCash, Paynow, and PayFast according to the payout schedule shown in your account. Flinta reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation of any content violation or fraud.
8. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination without refund:
- Posting, sharing, or requesting content depicting minors in any context.
- Sharing another user's private messages, media, or personal information outside the platform without their explicit consent.
- Attempting to circumvent Flinta's payment system by soliciting subscribers to pay you directly off-platform.
- Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of any user, creator, or staff member.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity.
- Using automated bots, scrapers, or tools to collect content or data from the platform.
- Any activity that violates Zimbabwean law or applicable regional legislation.
9. Intellectual Property
Creators retain copyright in their content. By posting to Flinta, you grant Flinta a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and deliver your content to your paying subscribers for as long as it remains live on the platform. This licence ends when you remove the content or close your creator account. Flinta does not claim ownership of your content.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." Flinta makes no warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Flinta is not liable for the content, accuracy, or legality of material posted by creators, nor for the conduct of any user on or off the platform. Your use of the Service is at your own risk. In no event shall Flinta's aggregate liability to you exceed the total fees you paid to Flinta in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
Flinta reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account — subscriber or creator — that violates these Terms, without notice and without refund. You may close your account at any time via your account settings. Pending creator payouts at the time of termination for policy violations may be forfeited.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email and by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe and, where applicable, the broader Southern African regional legal framework, without regard to conflict of law principles.
